My photography journey started with some really long bicycle rides.
When I was 17, I wanted to go on a road trip and photograph the landscapes of the Canadian Rockies – except I didn’t have a car, and I couldn’t afford one. So I did the only logical thing I could think of to get myself across the 200 mile mountain range – I rode my bicycle all the way between the towns of Banff and Jasper.
Following that adventure I went and cycled 1500 miles down the U.S. West Coast to photograph more epic landscapes. I did the whole adventure on only $600, because I was a broke high school student with no car just trying to pursue my passion for landscape photography. I refuse to let my circumstances keep me from achieving what I wanted.
“Anything for the shot” – I take that pretty seriously.
